Ceremony & Reception
Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?
Yes. Weather pending, the ceremony will be held on location in a field behind the barn where the reception is being held. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will still be held on location but indoors. Please dress appropriately and consider wearing layers. Ladies, please consider bringing a pair of flats for the ceremony if you intend to wear heels.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony starts at 4:00pm with the cocktail hour and reception to follow. Please try to arrive between 3:30-3:50pm.
What time should I head home?
10:00pm. The reception ends at 10:00pm, and clean up starts promptly at 10:01pm sharp. If you do not want to get stuck helping clean the venue, please leave on time (or don't - we welcome the help). You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.
What is the attire?
Formal Attire. For Men: Dress Shirt, Dress Pants, and Dress Shoes. Suit & Tie, or Tuxedo optional. For Women: Cocktail Dresses or Pant Suits. Dressy shoes (flats recommended due to the outdoor ceremony on uneven terrain).
Where should I sit?
During the ceremony, please feel free to sit anywhere but the first row (it is reserved for immediate family). There is no bride/groom side. During the reception, you will be given a table number.
Will there be alcohol at the reception?
Yes. We will have a cash bar. Please bring some cold hard cash if you would like to drink (or pre-game). Our bartenders also accept payments through venmo. Bar selection will include a white wine, red wine, Budlight, Sam Adams Seasonal, White Claw, and mixed drinks. Please note the bartenders will not sell shots.
Travel & Accommodations
What is the closest airport to fly into?
Bradley International Airport located in Windsor Locks, CT (Hartford area). The airport is only about a 15 minute drive from the venue.
I need accommodations, where should I stay?
Please see the travel page of our website for some hotels we recommend in the area. We tried to add hotels in several price ranges. Please note that we do not have any hotel blocks booked.
RSVPing Multiple Guests
Can I bring a plus one?
If you were given a plus one, it will say so on your invitation.
Are children allowed at the wedding?
Yes. Children are allowed at the wedding. If we love you enough to invite you, we probably also love your children. If you are bringing your child(ren), please make sure to add them to your RSVP. Please be advised that there are no high chairs on site.
Logistics
Is there free parking on-site?
Yes. There is a paved parking lot located on site at the farm, and there is no fee to park there. Please be mindful that the farmer and his family do live on site, and have a few designated parking spots near their farmhouse that are off limits. Handicap parking is available for those that need it.
You're getting married on a farm, are there actual bathrooms?
Yes. Thankfully, the event space is fully equipped with indoor, ADA accessible bathrooms. They are located through a hallway off the main event space. There will be signs to point you in the right direction.
Can I smoke at the wedding?
Yes. Smoking (of anything legal) is permitted but only outdoors (this includes vaping). Please be mindful of cigarette butts and use receptacles provided to dispose of them.
